So, lately it's come to my attention that the world is filled with rude people. Perhaps rude's not the word for it; self-involved to the point where they're totally inconsiderate of how their behaviors affect others. Take, for example, one of my roommates, who is filthy and leaves crumbs everywhere to attract insects. Usually I'm all about "the more the merrier," but I prefer the members of the more category to have a maximum of two legs and a vulnerability to nuclear fallout.

Thus the Word is: Consideration. In other words, don't be a dick. Don't insult people whose habitat or resources you're using. Write your mom. Call your boyfriend. Tell your friends when you'll be going on vacation so they don't freak out when you suddenly disappear. Don't sulk at people who are doing you a favor. Be timely. Clean up when you go home on break. If you live at home, be respectful of your family, because they're putting up with you, and probably not making you pay rent. If you don't live at home, but they're paying for your tuition? Be polite ANY DAMN WAY. No one likes an ungrateful slob in any environment. Don't get drunk and puke on people.
