My Peck and Hogarth texts arrived today, so along with the Faigin expressions book, I have a trifecta of instructional awesomeness. Maybe the next book I'll dig up will actually teach me how to draw!
I'm a little stressed out from a completely expected corner... It's going to translate into sleeplessness soon, which means I really need to nip a bunch of things in the bud, starting with the things that are actually important--like paying off this term of the master's degree. I've started riding the bicycle again in hopes of building up all the muscle and stamina I've lost since 2008. Two years of inactivity and sickness have left me doubly frail. The more disciplined I can make my body, the more disciplined I can make my mind. So, this evening, I will set off on my wobbly journey up and down the street. Luckily, there's a nice bike lane and a nice green belt down the avenue as well.
I made some strawberry yogurt popsicles this week that are KILLER. If I find my digital camera and all its parts, I may have to start posting some food porn here. Ah, the culinary arts, my true love! TT__TT
A good number of old friends have re-congregated around VE, bringing in some new folks whom I'm happy to meet as well. For instance, my BFFs' beaus (including Beau, Teki~). It's also a chance for them to get to know my fiancee, which makes me happy as well. I've known them for nearly a decade now, so sharing our lives in little ways like this is... Incredibly pleasing. My interest in turning VE into a much larger site has waned since I left Ninpocho Chronicles; the only way I would do that is if I could fairly monetize the site, and I am not imaginative enough to figure that out. Though, technically, the old VE domain was worth quite a bit by the time I let it expire... If I had taken the time to look for a buyer. Maybe I should have; a little more cush in savings would be nice!
